Rhino Run / FAMILY pics. from NY

These are pictures I want to share from our annual Rhino Run my Uncle Mark put together for my Uncle Tommy (Rhino). Tommy pasted away in 2003 due to an unknown heart condition while riding in the mountains. RIP Rhino!

Sadly enough, during the Run in 2010 there was a fatal accident involing my Uncle Mark and Aunt Lucy. My Uncle Mark pulled through, but lost his left leg in the accident. Unfortunitly my Aunt Lucy wasn't so lucky. She didn't make it and is now with my Uncle Tommy. She will never be forgotten as she was the life of the party every year. She will be sadly missed.

The shovelhead he and Lucy were riding that day is currently in my shop being rebuilt. I've also takin this opportunity to make the best of a situation and decided to put a trike together for my uncle Mark, beings he won't be able to ride a regular motorcycle again. I have a personal abligation to finish that trike for him and personally deliver it when it's ready.

From Old to New '76 Rockerboxes

Man...I can't even tell you how many hours I have into making these look new again. I polished them the best I could leaving the original scars from all the crashes this bike has gone through since birth...but its 2012 and this '76 is still going to live....and look good doing so. Can't wait to have this engine together.

Gas Tank Assembly

Welp...here you have it. This was a sportster tank axed and chopped to what you see here. Theres several steps involved obviously, but here you can see each step as I went. This is actually my second attempt at a tank for this bike (the first one didn't work out like I hoped). Just need to throw some paint on there and I'll be good to go.

Springer assembly

Got my parts from the powdercoater lastnight and had a fun time putting that together (yea right) I had to fab a tool to make it easier. Just welded a 3/4 inch bolt to the end of the C-clamp made things much easier.

I think this is gonna look sweet when I get my frame back.

Making a fiberglass seat pan

Here's a few pictures of me making a seat pan. lay down tin foil to make it seperate from the frame and fender when it drys. Cut several strips of fiberglass and evenly lay the strips arcross the comeplete seat area (always add more because you can trim it later with the cut off wheel)

Handle these bars

I love these handle bars. Might have to try and make some like this someday.
